Mali in the west of Africa is not only famous for it’s Dogon valley and Timbuctu. The country also boasts some of the best mangoes in the world,

In Bamako, the Capitol of Mali, a new export facilitiy for mangoes will promote the export of high quality mangoes. 

The exports of mangoes requires specialised facilities to shpi proper and in good condition. The Dutch Embassy in Bamako decided to fund the design and building of such facilities to allow Mali to export its fruits to Europe.

The building will be ready for the mango season of 2007, hoping it may alread operate as a fresh produce handling center prior to that.

The design is flexiable and will allow alternative uses outside the mango season.
